About Us
Unmute exists because sometimes it feels impossible to speak and even harder to be heard. Unmute is a space built by survivors, for survivors.
It was created by people who’ve lived through it, who know what it’s like to carry stories that are hard to say out loud. Whether it’s poetry, art, journaling, or something you wrote in your notes app at 3am, it’s welcome here.
This space was created for anyone who's ever felt silenced, unsure, or alone in their story.
Here, expression matters. Whether it's a poem, a memory, a drawing, or something you wrote at 2 a.m. on your phone, it all counts. This is a place to share what’s on your mind, in your own way, at your own pace. You can be anonymous. You can be honest. You can be loud, quiet, messy, or unsure. It’s all welcome.
We don’t expect perfect. We don’t expect clarity.
We just believe in the power of saying something.

Why Creativity?
Sometimes talking is overrated and doodling your feelings sounds way better.
Not everyone is ready to say the words out loud or even write a novel about it. But a scribble, a weird poem, or a few sentences can do the heavy lifting without all the awkwardness. Creativity lets you say what’s stuck inside without having to spell it all out.
You don’t have to be a “pro” or have a fancy art degree. Heck, your phone notes app counts. It is not about being perfect it is about finding your own way to let it out even if it is messy, weird, or just plain honest. Because sometimes making something is the best way to make sense of things.
So bring your midnight thoughts, your scribbles on napkins, or that poem you are too shy to share this is your spot. We are all about the real, the raw, and the kind of messy. And honestly? That is where the magic happens.
What's Inside
Unmute is part journal, part group chat, part secret notebook. You’ll find anonymous posts, creative writing, drawings, vents, metaphors, and maybe the thing you didn’t know you needed. Plus, we’ve got check-ins from actual mental health pros, the kind that don’t just say “drink water.”
how to get involved?
Scroll, post, submit, vent, your pace, your rules.
Not here to perform. You can hang back and just read, or submit your own piece to our Spotlight section when you’re ready. We'll read it, respect it, and post it if it fits the space. No pressure. No gold stars. Just real stories, told your way.
